I wrote this over about 2 weeks recently. Today is January 24, 2004. I started with the intro which was really much longer originally. It's really fun to play. If I ever get into a band with a drummer and bass, it would be fun to play as the major part of the song. Anyway, when I was very young my mom bought us the Encyclopedia Americana, which was not on a CD! As part of the deal we could call them and ask about anything that wasn't in the books. By older brother asked for some tongue twisters because there was a radio show that was having a contest about tongue twisters. I don't think he won, but I still have the list. On it was "Moses Supposes" and "Sally Sell Shells". For some reason the Moses Supposes words started coming through while I was playing. It was kinda cool really. It was difficult to not get my tongue twisted up. You may notice a few minor slips in the song.
The song is really about love and magic. They go together, hand in hand, like a couple in love. It's about love at first sight and the power of love. Some say god is love. Well, it is clear me that what we experience, we experience due to the creative and loving power of the force behind all creation. So when we love one another, or fall in love, we really are sharing in the love of whatever is behind all creation. So when you look into the eyes of your lover, you could very correctly say that you were looking into the eyes of god. Without love, would life really be worth living? Not for me. -Duane
